Last updated 1 month ago

This section explains how to manage and customize the MindsCraft bot’s behavior in group chats using the /settings command. These options are available only in the management chat.

Accessing Settings

  1. In your management chat, type /settings.

  2. You'll see the main Settings Menu with two options:

    • Intern Settings

    • Telegram Settings

Intern Settings

Intern Settings allow you to:

  • Set a company username the intern is associated with (you’ll be asked to input the username, without @)

  • Manage Friends (link or unlink friend accounts for coordination)

These are helpful if your intern bot represents a company or coordinates with other intern accounts.

Telegram Settings

Here’s where you can configure the bot’s interaction behavior in Telegram group chats and DMs.

1. Direct Messages

  • Toggle this ON/OFF to allow or block users from sending direct messages to the bot.

2. Limit Group Chats

  • When enabled, only whitelisted groups can add the bot.

  • Prevents the bot from being added to random or spammy groups.

3. Group Chat Whitelist

  • Manage the list of Telegram group chats where the bot is allowed to function if “Limit Group Chats” is ON.

4. Keywords Mode

  • When enabled, you can set trigger keywords that will wake up the bot when mentioned in any message — no need to reply or mention.

5. Keywords List

  • Add or remove keywords the bot listens for.

How the Bot Wakes Up in Group Chats

By default, the bot responds when:

  1. You mention it directly (e.g. @botname)

  2. You reply to its message in the group

Extra features can be configured through the Telegram Settings:

  • Add trigger keywords (e.g., “help”, “report”, “alert”) via Keywords List

  • Prevent spam by enabling Limit DMs or Limit Group Chats
